Thank you for your interest
in our school!
We
currently offer grades 3K-11th and plan to add 12th grade
beginning in the fall of 2009. Our building committee
is working on the addition of a gymnasium with additional
classrooms.
We
use the ABeka curriculum in our 3K-2nd grades. ABeka
is a Christian curriculum with a very strong emphasis on
phonics. Our 4K students begin reading circles when we come
back from Christmas break and they are actually reading very
well at this time. We use the ABeka materials as well as Bob
Jones writing/grammar in our 2nd grades and reading
and writing/grammar in our 3rd-5th
grades. We use Macmillan/McGraw Hill and Glencoe/McGraw Hill
math in our 4th and 5th grades. In our
middle school grades, we use Bob Jones History and Science,
Glencoe/McGraw Hill Math and Prentice Hall Language Arts and
Spanish. As early as the 8th grade, students may
begin earning high school credits.
All of our students have Bible every day. We use the ABeka
Bible curriculum in our 3K-2nd grades, and Bob Jones
Bible curriculum beginning with 3rd grade. In
addition to the regular Bible lesson our students have Chapel
once a week. Normally our 3K-2nd grades have Chapel
on Tuesdays, 3rd-5th grades have Chapel on
Wednesdays, and our 6th-11th grades have
Chapel on Fridays.
We
use the Harcourt Stanford 10 standardized testing materials for
our 5K-11th grade students. Our 3rd and 5th
grades also take the OLSAT IQ test.
Our
maximum class sizes are as follows:
-
3K = 10 students in
each class
-
4K=
14 students in each class
-
5K–
2nd grades = 18 students in each class
-
3rd
– 11th grades = 20 students in each class
